Texas Water Development Board today approved financial assistance totaling $18,325,000 for wastewater system projects

AUSTIN – (September 20, 2018) – The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) today approved financial assistance totaling $18,325,000 for wastewater system projects. Of this funding, $2.9 million was approved for rural projects.

  • $10 million to the City of Gatesville (Coryell County) for wastewater system improvements
  • $2.9 million to the City of Dublin (Erath County) for a wastewater system project
  • $5,425,000 to the Laguna Madre Water District (Cameron County) for a wastewater system project

The TWDB is the state agency charged with collecting and disseminating water-related data, assisting with regional planning, and preparing the state water plan for the development of the state’s water resources. The TWDB administers cost-effective financial assistance programs for the construction of water supply, wastewater treatment, flood control, and agricultural water conservation projects.
